Route 284 via Kessenuma to Route 45 (Takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes)

【From Morioka Tohoku Shinkansen Station】
Morioka IC on the Tohoku Expressway – Hanamaki JCT – exit the expressway at the Miyamori IC – Route 107 – Route 340
(Takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes)

【From Hanamaki Airport】
Hanamaki IC on the Tohoku Expressway – exit the expressway at the Miyamore IC – Route 107 – Route 340

■How to get there from within Rikuzentakata
It’s most convenient to get around the city by car. If you don’t have access to a car, please inquire at the reception (the front office).

【From the Ofunato direction】
Proceed toward Kessenuma on Route 45, and after passing “Sanchoku Hanamasu,” get off Route 45 diagonally to the left, turn left at the T-junction, and go about 600m further.

【From the Kessenuma direction】
Proceed toward Ofunato on Route 45, turn right at the “Yakiniku Noroshi” intersection, turn right at the T-junction, and go about 250m further.
